The Flowstate Story
I moved to Australia from Canada in 2009 and was instantly captivated by this incredible country. I remember thinking, “Why doesn’t everyone live here? It’s summer every day!” Back in Canada I had completed my plumbing apprenticeship and started working with a plumbing company in Newcastle soon after arriving.
When I decided to get my Australian plumbing license, I discovered my Canadian qualifications weren’t recognized by TAFE. This meant another three years of study and training to meet Australian standards—essentially becoming a plumber twice!
After years of working with various plumbing companies, I realised I wanted something more—a business that aligned with my values. That’s why I created Flowstate Plumbing Co. My vision was simple: to build a company I’d be proud to work for, and one that’s closely connected to the local community. Today, we proudly sponsor the Lambton Jaffas under-10 boys’ soccer team and actively seek opportunities to give back to the neighbourhood we call home.

We work around your schedule, always show up on time, and prioritise reliability. By servicing a smaller area, we ensure faster response times and better service for our customers.
Our Family
My wife, Jessi, and I are kept busy raising our three boys. On the weekend you’ll find us at one of the local beaches, running a Saturday morning Parkrun, watching the boys play soccer, barbecuing, and making the most of our family time together.
